Cheryl Maguire holds a Master of Counseling Psychology degree. She is married and the mother of twins and a daughter. Her writing has been published in The New York Times, AARP, National Geographic, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Parents Magazine and many other publications. She provides coaching and educational workshops related to pitching, writing and editing with her business partner Gina Rich at CMGR Writers. Kaitlyn Arford

Kaitlyn Arford is a freelance content writer who has written about dogs, cats, health, and marketing. Kaitlyn is the founder and curator of Freelance Opportunities!, a weekly newsletter sharing calls for pitches and freelance roles for writers, journalists, editors, designers, social media professionals, and other independent workers. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in magazine media from Ball State University.

Karen Blum

Karen Blum heads ASJA’s Virtual Education Committee and is a Baltimore-based freelance writer who loves to travel but covers mostly health, medicine and science for a variety of outlets.
