Look Who's Coming to Client Connections 2024

Cari Shane

Almost 40 editors, agents, content marketing agencies, and other outlets that buy freelance work have already signed up to meet with writers at Client Connections 2024 — A Virtual Event!, ASJA’s signature networking event for professional members.

Client Connections 2024 starts on Thursday, Sept. 26, the last day of the ASJA 2024 conference, and runs through Friday, Sept. 27. Both events are online.

Client Connections committee volunteers have spent more than five months engaging with editors and other prospective clients to deliver a bang up virtual event for fellow members. During nine-minute sessions, writers will have the opportunity to sell their story ideas directly to top-tier print and digital editors, content managers, and literary agents.

How to Register

You must register for Client Connections 2024 through the ASJA conference registration portal. You can  register to attend both the conference and Client Connections 2024 or register only for Client Connections 2024. Either way, you must register through the portal.

Registration for Client Connections 2024 ends at 9 p.m. Eastern time on Friday, Aug. 30. Please note that the registration deadline is before the final deadline to register for the conference.

A full list of participating clients will be posted Aug. 20 after client registration closes. The Client Connections 2024 lottery opens Sept. 5 and runs through Sept. 12. In the lottery, participating professional members can select the clients with whom they’d most like to meet during online pitch sessions. Unfortunately, because the event is so popular, participants may not be assigned a meeting with every editor or agent they select. Please check out the FAQ for more information about how the lottery system works.
