ASJA 2011 scholarship winners announced
New York, NY — The American Society of Journalists and Authors Educational Foundation (ASJAEF) is pleased to announce the recipients of three scholarships to attend the 40rd Annual ASJA Writers Conference in New York City.
The Conference is open to the public, and is the premiere event for anyone wanting to pursue a career in freelance writing, hone their craft to turn a hobby into a thriving freelance writing career, or revive their lagging writing.
Judging scholarship applications was difficult as numerous highly qualified applicants sought out one of three scholarships in the categories of Nonfiction Books, Blogging and Nonfiction Article writing.
The ASJA2011 scholarship recipients are:

Susan Henninger, Trumansburg NY
Nancy Furstinger, Elizaville NY
Recipients will be awarded:
1. Waived registration fees to attend Saturday and Sunday, April 30 – May 1, 2011 (including the Continental breakfast, keynote luncheon and cocktail reception).
2. One 30-minute mentoring session with an established, professional writer specializing in their area of expertise.
