Liz Seegert is an award-winning veteran independent health journalist covering aging, health policy, social determinants of health, women’s health and related health care issues.
Liz is a regular writer for Stanford Longevity magazine, Fortune Well, Aging in America News, and has also written for TIME Health, The Wirecutter, PBS/NextAvenue.org, Money, American Journal of Nursing, Medscape, Consumer Reports, and Medical Economics, along with dozens of other mainstream and trade media. Her articles have been syndicated in Forbes.com, the Los Angeles Times, the Hartford Courant, the Saturday Evening Post, to name a few. As AHCJ’s topic editor for aging, she provides journalists with story ideas, tips, resources, and best practices for reporting on aging.
Liz also co-directs two journalism fellowships: the Journalists in Aging Fellowship, a partnership of the Journalists Network on Generations and the Gerontological Society of America, and the JAWS (Journalism and Women Symposium) Health Journalism Fellowship.
